A Sound Bath is a session of listening, lying down. Gongs, singing bowls and chimes fill the room with sound and vibration. There is nothing to do. The nervous system follows the sound out of alertness and into deep rest, the state in which the body regenerates.

Fifty minutes of sound

You lie down on a mat, covered, eyes closed. The session opens with breath and a few words. Then the instruments begin, one at a time: bowls close to the body, chimes, the gong building and fading.

Sound reaches the body as vibration as much as the ear. Breathing slows, thoughts loosen, time changes pace. Some people fall asleep; that is allowed.

The session closes in silence and returns slowly to the room. Twelve places, in the Aura Room, usually in the evening.

What is a Sound Bath?

A Sound Bath is a session of deep listening. You lie down, covered and comfortable, while gongs, singing bowls and chimes fill the room with sound and vibration. There is nothing to do and nothing to achieve. The nervous system follows the sound out of alertness and into deep rest, the state in which the body regenerates. Sound reaches the body as vibration as much as the ear.

What happens in a Sound Bath at Anida Lab

Sessions in the Aura Room last fifty minutes and take up to twelve people, usually in the evening. The session opens with breath and a few words, then the instruments begin one at a time: bowls close to the body, chimes, the gong building and fading. Breathing slows, thoughts loosen, time changes pace. Some people fall asleep; that is allowed. The session closes in silence and returns slowly to the room.

What changes

Deep physical rest, often deeper than sleep, a quiet mind and a slower breath, less tension in the body the next morning and a better night after the session. For people under sustained stress a Sound Bath once a week is a simple, reliable way to come down.

Who a Sound Bath is for

For people who cannot switch off, for anyone who sleeps badly and wants a calmer evening, for those who train hard and need a session that only restores, and for anyone curious about meditation who finds silence difficult. No experience is needed; warm, comfortable clothes and a layer for the end are the only preparation.

Sound Bath or Breathwork?

Both end in deep rest. In Breathwork you work: guided breathing rhythms shift the nervous system actively. In a Sound Bath you receive: the sound does the work and you listen. If you want to participate, choose Breathwork; if you want to be carried, choose the Sound Bath. Both are booked with the same Aura Room pass.

How to start

Book in the schedule on this page with your email address; there is no app to install. The first visit is simplest with the Guest Pass for CHF 40: one session, valid for seven days. After that, a pack of ten or twenty classes or a Movement membership from CHF 370 a month covers every class in both rooms. You can cancel in your account up to 24 hours before the class and the credit returns to your pass. Grip socks and a small towel are the only equipment; bring both.
